Greenwood County, SC (November 23, 2018) – In Greenwood County, a woman passed away following a fatal car accident on Thursday afternoon, November 22, in an Upstate Hospital.

The collision took place around 4:30 p.m. on Old Laurens Highway and Airport Road just north of Greenwood. Troopers say that the driver of a 2017 Jeep was traveling north and the driver was involved in an accident, which caused them to go off the side of the road and into a ditch.

The driver was identified as 67-year-old Robbie Turnage, who was taken to the hospital and passed away. She died of blunt force trauma. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

At this time, police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
