Griffin, GA (December 19, 2018) – This evening, a 15-year-old was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident at around 7:30.

Griffin, GA (December 19, 2018) – This evening, a 15-year-old was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident at around 7:30 p.m. The 15-year-old is currently being hospitalized with injuries.

Police responded to the accident at Northside Drive to find that the pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. The driver stayed at the scene of the accident.

The pedestrian suffered a broken leg. Initially, police called in a medical helicopter but it was not able to land so an ambulance came for the teen, who was sent to the Egleston Hospital in Atlanta.

Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
