Hart County, GA (October 26, 2018) – Police responded to an accident where two people were killed due to a two-vehicle accident in Hart County. The accident happened on Monday morning, October 22 on State Road 8.

At the time around 7:43 a.m., a vehicle was being driven by 43-year-old Chadwick Gene Floyd that crossed the center line while traveling on the highway for reasons that are still not known. The vehicle struck 81-year-old Fletcher Seabolt’s vehicle head-on in the northbound lane.

Floyd’s vehicle then came to a rest in the southbound lane while Seabolt’s came to rest in the northbound lane. When emergency responders arrived, Floyd was immediately pronounced dead. Seabolt, on the other hand, received a variety of serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. On Tuesday of this week, he passed away due to these injuries.

Funeral services are still being planned for both as police continue to investigate the accident.
