Henry County, GA – Police Continue to Investigate Head-on Collision

Henry County, GA (October 28, 2018) – Georgia DOT is still investigating an incident that led to a head-on collision.

Henry County, GA (October 28, 2018) – Georgia DOT is still investigating an incident that led to a head-on collision when a wrong-way driver entered express lanes. The accident happened on Friday morning, October 26.

At the time, police say that the driver of a Mitsubishi entered into the I-75 express lanes near the Stockbridge exit during rush hour. The car slammed into a truck head-on, causing the truck to strike another vehicle. Three people were seriously injured as a result.

Now, GDOT officials are trying to determine who the driver ended up in these lanes after the driver went through 8 traffic arms that said ‘do not enter’ and one strong metal gate. They are looking into ways that they can prevent one of these accidents from happening again.

Police are investigating.
