Highway 136, GA (December 20, 2018) – The Georgia State Patrol responded to a rollover crash that took place on Highway 136 East and caused serious injuries to one individual.
Police have since identified the person as 64-year-old Michael Terrell Stephens of Rising Fawn, who had been traveling east on the highway when he was involved in an accident. His red Impala crossed into the westbound lane and then struck a tree off the side of the road.
The vehicle came to a stop only after it was upside-down. Emergency responders at the scene quickly airlifted Stephens to the hospital so that he could be treated for serious injuries. He is expected to make a recovery. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
At this time, police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
