Horry County, SC (December 20, 2018) – Police reported that one person was taken to the hospital after their vehicle.

Horry County, SC (December 20, 2018) – Police reported that one person was taken to the hospital after their vehicle plunged into a pond in the Carolina Forest yesterday.

Police and the Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the scene at the River Oaks Golf and Tennis Resort around midnight on Wednesday to find that a vehicle had been involved in an accident and took a plunge in a pond on the property. Police are still unsure of the circumstances leading up to the accident.

By the time they made it to the scene, the roof and a bit of the trunk were visible above the water line. Firefighters and police are still trying to determine how the accident occurred. There have been no updates on the condition of the driver.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
