Horry County, SC (December 8, 2018) – In Horry County, police say that one person lost their life in a pedestrian accident after they were struck by a vehicle late Friday night, December 7.

Horry County police officials responded to the scene and found that a pedestrian had been trying to cross Dick Pond Road and Highway 707. At the time, the driver, who has not yet been identified, was traveling west.

The pedestrian was immediately struck and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. While there, they tragically passed away. The driver and the passenger were not injured in the accident.

Police continue their investigation into the matter at this time.
