Horry County, SC (November 16, 2018) – In Horry County, a pedestrian accident led to the fatality of one woman at an intersection last night, November 16, on Highway 9.
Police arrived at the scene of the accident in the eastbound lanes to find that the accident took place in the intersection of Bay Drive and took the life of one party. The coroner identified the woman as 30-year-old Lauren Michelle Rochefort of Green Sea.
The accident took place around 8:10 p.m. when a woman had been driving her Hyundai Santa Fe in the area and suddenly struck the pedestrian. At this time, police are not sure of the circumstances that caused the two parties to collide.
The accident is still being investigated by SCHP.
