Horry County, SC (December 8, 2018) – Last night, one individual lost their life in a fatal pedestrian crash. Police.

Horry County, SC (December 8, 2018) – Last night, one individual lost their life in a fatal pedestrian crash. Police have investigated the accident and since identified the victim.

The victim has been officially identified as 40-year-old John Paul Therrien. The accident took place on Dick Pond Road and Highway 707 around 7:45 p.m. At the time, a Dodge had been traveling on the road when the vehicle struck Therrien as he was trying to cross the road.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle were not injured. Therrien was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment but died while there.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of this tragic accident at this time.
