Horry County, SC (December 15, 2018) – At this time, police continue their investigation into a fatal accident that took place around the area of an intersection on Friday morning.
At the time, a North Myrtle Beach man ran a red light around 9:40 on U.S. 17 at Middle Gate Road. This caused a pickup truck to t-bone another vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck was taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, while there, they passed away due to their injuries. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
Charges have not been filed in the accident. Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
