Houston County, GA (December 8, 2018) – A 19-year-old was hospitalized after a serious accident that left them with severe injuries following a vehicle chase in Houston County. Georgia State Patrol responded to the accident.
At the time, a deputy tried to stop an 18-year-old driver for speeding but the teen fled the scene. The vehicle went south on Story Road and tried turning onto Houston Lake Road but wasn’t able to make the turn. This caused them to be involved in an accident, where they then struck a tree.

Georgia State Patrol said that the vehicle was registered to the teen’s father and that he did not have permission to take it. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
