Police say that an SUV was involved in an accident that sent it off the road, where it then struck one of the Express Lane signs in the area. The sign was immediately knocked from its base. The damages to the vehicle involved were quite severe.

One ambulance came to the scene and another medic was called in to give aid to the injured driver, as they sustained a variety of serious injuries. They were quickly transported to the hospital but police were unclear of how bad the injuries were.
