Iredell County, NC – Head-on Collision Leads to Fatality

Iredell County, NC (November 3, 2018) – Police say that, yesterday (November 2) a man who wasn’t wearing his seatbelt.

Iredell County, NC (November 3, 2018) – Police say that, yesterday (November 2) a man who wasn’t wearing his seatbelt was killed in a serious head-on collision. The accident took place in Northern Iredell County.

The crash took place around 5:15 a.m. on Tomlin Mill Road north of Statesville and east of Interstate 77. 29-year-old Jerry Michael White was driving west in a Nissan passenger car and crossed the center line. White crashed head-on into an eastbound Suzuki SUV.

Police say that White lost his life at the scene of the accident. The Suzuki driver was identified as 27-year-old Charles Cameron Gaither Prevette. He had serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

There were no passengers in either vehicle. The crash is still being investigated at this time.
