Jackson County, NC (December 1, 2018) – In Jackson County, one person lost their life in a fatal car accident that took place yesterday afternoon, November 30, around 3 p.m.
The accident, according to police, took place in the southbound lanes of US-441 going toward the Macon County area. Troopers said that a vehicle had been traveling north on the highway and lost control of their vehicle, which put them in the southbound lane.
As a result, the vehicle collided with another vehicle on the roadway head-on. A passenger inside the vehicle that lost control died at the scene of the accident. All others inside the vehicles at the time were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries.
Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
