Johnston County, NC (November 29, 2018) – Police say that eight people were injured in an accident on Interstate 95 that happened yesterday afternoon, November 28. The accident occurred when a vehicle was attempting to merge onto the highway at an excessive rate of speed. That is when one driver lost control of their vehicle.
The car instantly went flying through the guardrail and into another lane, which caused a tractor-trailer and two passenger vehicles to lose control and crash. Three people involved in the accident were critically injured.
The roadway was closed around the area of mile marker 81 after the accident took place. Police are still investigating the accident.
