Johnston County, NC (October 22, 2018) – A Monday morning crash took place this morning in Johnston County near Clayton. The accident closed roads down around 6:50 a.m. this morning.

Police responded to the incident and were investigating the scene until around 11 a.m. The accident took place on Northbound US-1 near NC-540 in Wake County. Crews had to close down all northbound lanes around 8 a.m. and reopened one lane in the past few hours due to the severity of the accident.

Police reported injuries in the accident. They continue to investigate at this time.
