Jones County, GA (October 31, 2018) – Police say that five people were hospitalized following a chain-reaction crash that happened.

Jones County, GA (October 31, 2018) – Police say that five people were hospitalized following a chain-reaction crash that happened in Jones County on Tuesday morning, October 30. The accident took place on GA-49 around 11 a.m.

One witness and victim of the accident, Jourdan Eich, said that she was sitting in traffic and waiting for the flagman when a semi-truck crashed into her vehicle and went straight into a ditch. Eich said that she found a piece of lumber in the back of her vehicle due to the accident.

The semi-truck struck a pickup truck and a couple of other vehicles as well. Eich claimed that those inside the pickup truck needed the most help, but two others in other vehicles also received injuries. Five people in total were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating what caused the truck driver to lose control of his vehicle at this time.
