Lake City, SC (November 16, 2018) – In Lake City, a man was struck and killed in a serious fatal.

Lake City, SC (November 16, 2018) – In Lake City, a man was struck and killed in a serious fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Highway 52 Thursday night, November 15.

The man was identified as 53-year-old Alphonsa Washington. Officer Amy Pringle reported that the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. near Lavells Diner when Washington was suddenly struck by a vehicle.

The incident was ruled an accident. No charges have been given in this case as of yet. Police are still taking a closer look at the circumstances of what caused Washington to be struck by the vehicle. Police continue a full investigation at this time.
