Lake City, SC (November 16, 2018) – Police say that a pedestrian was struck and killed in a pedestrian accident that happened last evening at Deep River Street and Highway 52. Every day, intersection accidents happen across the state. These accidents can very easily lead to some of the most dangerous scenarios for pedestrians, who lose their lives many times every year in these accidents.

The victim was identified as a 53-year-old man. As of now, there is not much known about the pedestrian and their name has not been released.

Traffic in the area was backed up for quite some time and a variety of emergency services, including ambulance services, arrived at the scene to help. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
