Lake Wylie, SC (November 5, 2018) – In Lake Wylie, a car accident happened at a busy intersection that led to injuries around 10:45 a.m. this morning, November 5. The roadway at SC 49 and SC 557 was blocked for several hours following the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident. It took place just south of the North Carolina state line. Police and other emergency responders were at the scene immediately.
Photographs from the scene showed an SUV and a sedan in an accident with one another and one person being placed on a stretcher to be taken to the hospital. We do not know the extent of the injuries, but both vehicles sustained damages.
Police continue to investigate at this time.
