Lenoir County, NC (October 21, 2018) – A wreck that happened around 6:45 on Sunday evening on Grifton Hugo Road in Lenoir County left one man dead and another man trapped inside his truck
When first responders arrived at the wreck just two miles east of Hugo they found that a pick-up truck and a car had collided, killing the driver of the car instantly. The driver of the pick-up truck was pinned inside his vehicles and fire rescue crews had to cut him out. He was then transported to Vidant Medical Center with serious injuries.
The Sand Hill Volunteer Fire Department assisted in the rescue. The crash is still under investigation by the authorities.
