Lexington, SC – Coroner Identifies Victim of Augusta Highway Accident

Lexington, SC (December 18, 2018) – A coroner with Lexington County identified the victim of a fatal Augusta Highway accident.

Lexington, SC (December 18, 2018) – A coroner with Lexington County identified the victim of a fatal Augusta Highway accident that took place early this morning.

At the time, police say that 36-year-old Dianne Wells was crossing the street on the 24000 block of the highway when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle. Police say that she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver involved in the accident immediately stopped at the scene and attempted to render aid to Wells but she sadly passed away.

At this time, troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol continue their investigation into the accident.
