Lexington County, SC – Multi-Car Accident Takes Life of One Man

Lexington County, SC (October 26, 2018) – The Lexington County Coroner’s Office released the name of a man who lost.

Lexington County, SC (October 26, 2018) – The Lexington County Coroner’s Office released the name of a man who lost his life in a multi-car accident on Sunday night, October 21.

The accident happened around the area of Interstate 20 in the westbound lanes close to 8 p.m. that night. The man was identified by the Coroner in the area as 27-year-old Jared Whitman Campbell of Lexington. He died due to multiple traumatic injuries from the incident.

Campbell had been driving his Honda Accord when his vehicle struck a pickup truck. Campbell got out of his vehicle and tried to cross into other lanes on the highway when he was struck twice by two other cars. The vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lane at the time.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate at this time.
