Lexington, SC (November 20, 2018) – The Lexington Police Department cited a driver who caused a fatal car accident this.

Lexington, SC (November 20, 2018) – The Lexington Police Department cited a driver who caused a fatal car accident this past week for failing to yield the right-of-way.

The accident took place at the intersection of Augusta Road and Morgan Drive. One person lost their life as a result of this avoidable collision.  The driver who cited at the scene for causing the crash has been identified as 79-year-old, Ted Ollie McGee Jr.

At this time, two investigation teams are taking a closer look at what caused the accident to become so deadly. Two cars were severely damaged at the scene of the accident, and debris was scattered all over the road, which caused severe backups in the area.
