Liberty County, GA (October 30, 2018) – Police say that one person was killed in a deadly pedestrian accident on.

Liberty County, GA (October 30, 2018) – Police say that one person was killed in a deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 84 this week. The pedestrian has since been identified.

The Liberty County coroner identified the pedestrian as 74-year-old Herbert Martin of Hinesville. The accident that took his life took place on Sunday night, October 28 around 8:30 p.m. It happened right within the area of the Liberty County High School.

At the time, Martin had been trying to cross the street when he was suddenly struck by a pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

At this time, police are still collecting evidence and speaking with witnesses to get a better idea of what happened.
