Liberty County, GA (November 20, 2018) – Last evening, November 19, the Georgia Highway Patrol investigated a rollover accident that led to one person being ejected from their vehicle.
At the time, a North Carolina man had been traveling southbound on Interstate 95 when he lost control of his vehicle. He was involved in an accident and struck a guardrail, which caused his vehicle to flip and eject him partially.
When police and other emergency responders arrived at the scene of the accident, the man was already pronounced dead. At this time, the accident continues to be investigated.
We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of the person who lost his life in this tragic accident and hope that they will be able to find comfort and peace as they start the grieving process.
Single Vehicle Car Accidents in Georgia
In Georgia, an average of five people a day, or 31 people a week, die in serious accidents. Rollover accidents are known to be some of the deadliest accidents that happen on our roads, leaving people with permanent injuries and fatalities every year. Often times, the driver of a rolled vehicle will be found to be responsible for the accident because they were not observing the rules of the road by using excessive speed or driving distracted. Police will investigate what caused this accident to try to determine if operator error caused this incident to occur or if there was a possible road hazard or manufacturer malfunction of the vehicle that may have played a role in the accident.
