Lidl, NC (October 17, 2018) – In Lidl, a 31-year-old Winston-Salem woman was critically injured on Tuesday, October 16 in a serious car accident and she was ejected from her vehicle. The accident happened on Peters Creek Parkway near a local grocery store.
The victim was identified as Rahnelia Melisha Whitfield who was taken to the hospital immediately following the accident. She is in life-threatening condition at this time.
Officers responded to the accident around 12:47 p.m. They found that Whitfield had been driving a Ford Explorer in the left lane. She was involved in an accident, when her vehicle went over an embankment and overturned. She was then ejected from her SUV.
Nobody else was in her vehicle at the time of the accident.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
