Lumberton, SC (October 29, 2018) – Police say that one man was charged after a fatal motorcycle accident that happened.

Lumberton, SC (October 29, 2018) – Police say that one man was charged after a fatal motorcycle accident that happened this past weekend. The accident happened on October 28.

Police say that 50-year-old Ricky Locklear had been making a left turn onto a private driveway on Norment Road yesterday when he suddenly crashed into a motorcycle being driven by 22-year-old Tevin Thompson. Now, Locklear is being charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to yield the right of way.

Thompson died at the scene from injuries that he suffered due to the traumatic accident.

Alcohol is not expected to be a factor in the crash, but police continue to investigate at this time.
