Lumpkin County, GA (December 29, 2018) – A rescue team arrived at the scene of a DUI accident where a 2-month old and mother were pulled out of a Ford Ranger.

The incident took place yesterday, December 28, when a Ford Ranger traveled into Clay Creek. The driver was identified as 29-year-old Andrea Marie McMeans, who had been driving around a curve when she was involved in the accident. The vehicle went down an embankment and struck a tree.

The Ranger was pulled 300 feet downstream and came to a rest in the middle of the creek facing northbound. McMeans and the 2-month-old were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries, but they are expected to recover.

McMeans received charges of DUI endangerment and more.
