Lyons, GA (December 29, 2018) – Police say that one person lost their life and another was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision in Lyons.
The accident took place when two vehicles collided with one another on Highway 292. A pileup of vehicles ensured following the accident. Police have not yet reported on how many vehicles were involved or the identities of those involved.
One person lost their life at the scene of the accident and the other received critical injuries and was flown to a hospital in Savannah for treatment. Their condition or name has not been released at this time.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident and its cause at this time.
