Macon, GA (November 16, 2018) – A 23-year-old man tragically lost his life and another was severely injured after they were struck by a vehicle while they were pushing a disabled vehicle alongside the roadway.
The accident took place just after 12:30 a.m. today when Jalen Strong, 22-year-old Tupach Brown, and 48-year-old Clint Nettles were pushing a classic Chevy in the right lane of Forsyth Road after the vehicle stopped running.
Strong and Nettles were struck by a vehicle being driven by a 42-year-old Macon woman. Strong was caught between the vehicles and died of blunt force trauma at the scene of the incident. Nettles was taken to the hospital in stable condition due to serious injuries.
Nobody else was hurt in the accident and no charges have been filed. Police are still working on their investigation of the accident.
At this time, we would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Jalen Strong, as we know how difficult it can be to deal with the aftermath of one of these cases. We also hope that the injured parties will be able to recover at this time.
