Moore County, NC (October 19, 2018) – Police responded to a bus accident in Moore County when a flying object.

Moore County, NC (October 19, 2018) – Police responded to a bus accident in Moore County when a flying object struck a charter bus on Thursday afternoon, October 18 around 3:20 p.m.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene of the accident and found that the charter bus had been carrying members of the Mountaire Farms. Suddenly, an object went flying through the windshield. Police say that, based on evidence, a rock or some other type of debris struck the glass of the bus and caused it to fly through the windshield.

Police say that they do not believe it was malicious. One passenger received injuries as a result of the accident. At the time, the passenger was sitting in the second row of seats on the bus. They were taken by ambulance to the First Health Moore Regional Hospital.

Police continue to investigate and speak with witnesses.
