Mount Pleasant, NC (November 24, 2018) – In Mount Pleasant, a three-vehicle accident occurred that led to injuries in four parties around 1 p.m on November 24.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the scene of the accident and found that two vehicles had collided with one another on the NC Highway 49. Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the collision.

The accident allegedly took place when a vehicle lost control and started to turn sideways. At that time, a second vehicle had been traveling behind but wanted to avoid the sliding vehicle. Unfortunately, they were unable to and the vehicles collided.

The highway was closed for about 2 hours following the accident until the scene was cleared. Police continue their investigation into the matter.
