Nags Head, NC (November 13, 2018) – Police say that a young man, identified as Jovan Jordany Yurnet Matos, was killed on Thursday night in a fatal bicycle accident in Nags Head. The crash happened around 5:00 p.m., according to police.
Police responded to the South Croatan Highway to find that Matos had been riding his bicycle in the southbound lane, when he was suddenly struck by a woman in a vehicle. Police took a closer look and they are still unsure of what caused her to strike Matos.
The woman remained at the scene and cooperated with police in regards to questioning and more. Police continue to investigate the accident at this time.
