New Bern, NC (November 14, 2018) – On Tuesday, November 13, one person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident.

New Bern, NC (November 14, 2018) – On Tuesday, November 13, one person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Highway 43 near Gracie Farms Road. The pedestrian has since been identified as 42-year-old Michael Charles Mcilwean.

New Bern Police came to the scene of the accident around 6:51 p.m. They discovered that Mcilwean died at the scene of the accident. As of right now, no charges have been filed against the party.

Police are still working on obtaining information about how the accident occurred at this time.
