North Charleston, SC (November 6, 2018) – In North Charleston, a 22-car accident injured multiple people and tied up the roads for morning commuters for hours. The accident took place yesterday morning, November 5, around 8 a.m., backing up traffic for three hours. 

The accident took place at the bridge over the Ashley River around the area of West Ashley. Authorities had to close down both sides of the road. Multiple people were reported as injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. 

At this time, police have not confirmed the extent of the injuries to those involved. The accident scene was cleared and the roadway reopened by 11 a.m.

Multiple emergency responders arrived to help. People are still trying to determine the cause of this serious accident.
