North Charleston, SC (October 24, 2018) – Police arrived at the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took place two.

North Charleston, SC (October 24, 2018) – Police arrived at the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took place two days ago, October 22, that ended in the life of one woman.

Police have since identified the woman who lost her life in the accident at 57-year-old Jestine April Young. Young lost her life in the hit-and-run accident in the 6600 block of Dorchester Road. At the time, she had been crossing the street when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle.

Young died at the scene of the accident, according to police. She had recently moved to the area from Massachusetts.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time and are searching for more information on the driver involved.
