South Fulton, GA – One Charged with Vehicular Homicide After Train Crash

South Fulton, GA (November 23, 2018) – Police in South Fulton say that a woman is now facing vehicular homicide.

South Fulton, GA (November 23, 2018) – Police in South Fulton say that a woman is now facing vehicular homicide charges after she was involved in a fatal train crash that killed her sister, teen daughter, and another teen.

Police investigated when Doreen Carter’s Impala collided with a train on Buffington Road after she attempted to beat it. Police say that she was acting recklessly.

The three who lost their lives were identified as 40-year-old Lidonda Carter, 18-year-old Santania McDowell, and 15-year-old Mackenzie Mack. Carter also suffered injuries, but they were not life-threatening.

A witness to the accident said that the train’s horn was blaring and the crossing arms were down when Carter approached the tracks.
