Orangeburg County, SC (December 9, 2018) – In Orangeburg County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash where one person was killed and two were injured. One of the individuals who was taken to the hospital was a 9-year-old child.

The accident allegedly happened last night, December 8. At the time, a vehicle had been traveling on Highway 301 south of Orangeburg around 9:45 p.m. when the vehicle ran off the side of the road and struck a ditch, then overturning.

Police say that all three occupants were taken to the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. One of the occupants died at the hospital.

At this time, the Highway Patrol continues their investigation of the accident.
