Pender County, NC (November 15, 2018) – A car accident took place on Interstate 40 in the eastbound lanes in Pender County that led to the driver being ejected from the vehicle. The accident caused delays for quite some time.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle after the tread came off of a trailer. The driver pulled over and lost control of the vehicle. Police say that the driver was in a lot of pain and was taken to the hospital to be checked over for injuries.
The road was closed down for some time while police investigated the incident. At this time, the roads are completely clear.
