Pickens, SC (November 10, 2018) – In Pickens, 29-year-old Justin Owens of Liberty appeared in court after his connection to a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian injured Saturday.
The accident took place around 2:27 a.m. on Black Snake Road when Owens struck the pedestrian. Owens said that he is feeling remorse for leaving the scene.
At the time of the accident, Owens had been traveling on the road when he suddenly struck the pedestrian and left the scene immediately after without stopping to render aid. The man received great bodily injury due to the accident.
Police continue to gather information on the circumstances of the accident.
