Plum Branch, SC – Driver Ejected in Fatal Car Accident Event

Plum Branch, SC (November 4, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that one person lost their life in.

Plum Branch, SC (November 4, 2018) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol said that one person lost their life in a fatal car accident that occurred in Plum Branch last night, November 3.

Police responded to the scene of the accident around 6:00 p.m. on the South Carolina Highway 283 near Turkey Road. The driver was in his 2002 Kia SUV when he was involved in an accident and veered off the side of the road.

Troopers at the scene said that the vehicle overturned and struck a tree. The driver was immediately ejected from their vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Nobody else was injured in the accident.

The man who lost his life was identified as 53-year-old Edward Elgin of McCormick. He passed away at the scene of the crash.
