Raleigh, NC (October 16, 2018) – A 16-year-old female from Raleigh lost her life when her vehicle ran off the roadway this morning, October 16, where it then struck several trees alongside the road. Highway Patrol was called to the scene around 7:30 in the morning.
The girl was identified as Madeline Grace Shook, who was driving north on Possum Track Road when her 2011 Jetta left the road to the right. Police say that she had been traveling at high speeds at the time.
The vehicle continued onward and came to a rest on an embankment near Possum Track Road’s intersection with Raven Ridge Road. Shook died at the scene of the accident.
