Raleigh, NC (December 22, 2018) – This morning, December 22, Raleigh police responded to a serious bus accident that took place on New Bern Avenue and caused injuries.
The accident took place at 8:13 a.m. when a city bus and another vehicle collided with one another near WakeMed. Authorities had to close down the westbound lanes of the road around the area of the hospital. The road is now open.
One person was taken to the hospital with a series of injuries. Police say that the person is expected to recover.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident at this time.
