Raleigh, NC (December 4, 2018) – There was a man killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in the early morning on Monday. The December 4th accident involved a pedestrian being hit by a truck.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 am on Western Boulevard near Ashe Avenue. The pedestrian that lost his life in this crash has been identified as Mr. David Paul Miller. He was crossing the street at the time of the incident but was not in a marked or designated pedestrian crosswalk. Miller was hit by a truck. Miller was struck as he crossed Western Boulevard. The Raleigh Police Department is still investigating how this incident took place.
The driver of the truck who hit Miller stayed at the scene following the accident and police have determined that he had not violated any of the rules of the road. Police determined that the driver of the truck was not using excessive speed at the time of the crash.
