Richland County, SC (December 19, 2018) – Yesterday morning, one person was pronounced dead after a serious car accident. The accident took place in Richland County.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 12:50 a.m. At the time, a 2002 Honda van had been traveling west on Interstate 26 when it was involved in an accident. It went into the exit area of the highway and immediately ran off the road, striking the guardrail.

The driver had not been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. They were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

At this time, police continue their investigation into the accident to determine what caused it.
