Richland County, SC (October 18, 2018) – Police are reporting that one person lost their life in a late-night car accident that happened in Richland County late last night, October 17 around 10 p.m.
Police responded to the scene and found that the driver of a Hyundai Sonata had been heading southbound on Winterwood Road at the time of the accident. The accident took place near Exit 68.
The car was involved in an accident and was pushed from the road where it overturned. The driver was the only occupant in the Hyundai and was entrapped in the vehicle. Police do not know if the driver was taken to the hospital or died at the scene but he has passed away.
No one else was injured in the crash. At this time, police continue to investigate the scene.
