Richmond County, GA (November 26, 2018) – A car accident involving a Richmond County Deputy took place that caused the Georgia State Patrol to investigate on Saturday, November 24.

Police say that 43-year-old Deputy Adam Wade was involved in an accident on Broad Street when he struck two vehicles and fled the scene. Injuries were reported but, at this time, we do not know the names or conditions or those involved.

Deputies were able to stop him soon after the accident, where he was charged with failure to maintain a lane, DUI, and a hit-and-run. Wade was off-duty at the time.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
