Robbinsville, NC (November 3, 2018) – In Robbinsville, a school bus accident happened on Friday morning, November 2 that sent multiple students to the hospital.

The students who were injured sustained a wide variety of serious injuries such as broken bones, a punctured lung, a broken sternum, and more. Luckily, all the students are expected to survive.

At the time of the accident, a bus from the Robbinsville Middle and High School was traveling along Frank’s Creek Road around 7:20 a.m. when the bus veered off the side of the road onto the shoulder. Troopers say that the bus went down an embankment and struck a tree, which caused it to overturn in a creek.

Everyone at the bus was taken to the hospital. Four students are still hospitalized at this time. The Highway Patrol is still investigating but charges are not pending at this time.
