Robbinsville, NC (October 26, 2018) – Two high school volleyball players were seriously injured in a bus accident that took.

Robbinsville, NC (October 26, 2018) – Two high school volleyball players were seriously injured in a bus accident that took place Tuesday morning, October 23. The bus was driven by the coach of the volleyball team and officials believe it might have happened due to a medical condition.

The two Robbinsville high school students were injured when their coach, Kadey Phillips, crashed on the way to a playoff match. The injuries were luckily not life-threatening but still significant, so both girls were immediately rushed to the hospital.

One of the injured players was identified as Jessica Davis. She received a serious concussion and was evaluated for a neck injury as well.

Police continue to investigate, but believe that Phillips lost control due to low blood sugar.
